The comedic movie about a serial murder and his sidekick

So that's essentially what this movie is about.

The trailer of God Bless America was released almost 2 months ago and I quite liked the trailer.

First impressions of it made me go "This has a nice idea but it'll get pretty boring. Its all about this guy and his sidekick killing general assholes and shitbags. Surely there's a limit of retards in America, right?"

But then it made me think "If they're serial murderers on the loose, they'll probably get caught. So the final fight would be an epic gunfight and all. Also, 3/4 of America are full of shit anyway. And the idea of them not getting caught after murder sprees everywhere sort of makes sense because American police forces are generic A.holes anyway."

In other words, this movie won't be a flop, but it will definitely be criticised heavily. By critics and the 3/4 of America who are jerks.

Well, the movie hasn't been released yet but I'm heading over to my local cinemas to take a look if they're showing it soon. I pray to god that it does come to Singapore though. It'd be too awesome not to watch this movie.

A short quick post before I leave for a job interview. Although school is up in a few more weeks, I'll just work for a bit of cash.

I just experienced an emotion known as OH-I-WANNA-DIE-NOW-ITS-SO-SAD-YET-SO-MEANINGFUL-AT-THE-SAME-TIME

What a weird title.

So, the subs for the last episode of Guilty Crown came out and made every guy who watched it turn female for 1 minute and every girl weep in their hearts for probably a whole hour.

Probably. I'm not a girl.

Below is a plot summary so if you don't like spoilers, do go watch the 22 episodes of it before reading this.

In an alternate universe, a virus attacked Japan during 2009. This incident known as "The Lost Christmas" plunges Japan into chaos.  An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence. Time skip forward a few years.

So the anime starts off with a slightly anti-social boy named Shu who was caught in a fight with terrorist group rebelling against the GHQ named the Undertakers/Funeral Parlour (Depending on who's your subber). He meets Inori who gives him the most powerful chemical weapon known to all of mankind: The Void Genome. Using the Void Genome, he can pull out weapons known as Voids from human hearts.

The Funeral Parlour's leader, Gai, decides to recruit him to fight for his group. Which is essentially what the first arc is. At the end we learn about Gai's and Shu's past and how they are both related to The Lost Christmas.

Beginning of the next arc, the whole of Japan has been cordoned off from the rest of the world to prevent spreading of the virus. Shu and his friends, from both school and The Funeral Parlour, struggle to maintain order while surviving in school with the rest of the school community. Doesn't sound so good, does it?

This arc is rather complicated, so I can't explain the whole situation without spoiling the story. Just know that its awesome and the ending is equally awesome.

"Spoiler Alert" doesn't really work because it just makes people curious and want to read the spoilers. But I'm going to black out the text below so that only smart people can read it. (Or just tech-savvy people)

The ending fit the storyline so well.In order to save the world, Shu wanted to absorb the virus from the world. However, Inori being the faithful and awesome girlfriend, sacrificed herself so Shu doesn't need to. In the end, everyone has a reunion and enjoys being alive.

We see Shu holding a walking stick, which means he's either blind from the Virus or lost a leg during the process of fighting Gai. Shu sits on a bench in the park after the reunion, puts on his earpiece and listens to Inori's singing, reminiscing of their time together.

In the whole process of the anime, you see Shu develops from a quiet, emo kid who fears conflict and learns to stand up for himself. He then becomes king and saves a bunch of people with weak voids (led by Souta to prove that they're not useless) at the cost of Hare, who dies from her void getting destroyed.

At this point, we see the story's setting changing from a post-apocalyptic peace into a desperate attempt to live as Shu becomes a tyrant in his school. They lead a desperate attempt to fight for freedom which results in Shu getting betrayed by the entire school who was double crossed by Gai and the whole story becomes complex.

His development doesn't end there. When he gets his second Void Genome, he realizes what kind of person he truly is and what he wants in this world, which is Inori. Who is captured by Gai. The typical course of action RPG is to save the princess from the boss castle.

The ending failed to address some things which I want to know. Is Kuhouin still alive after getting shot by the UN soldiers? What happened to Daryl the butcher after getting saved by his only friend? Was Kenji the one shot or was Shinbugi shot? (Ok, this was maybe a bit overthought.) Its one of the moments where a fan craves for more about what happened with the characters, much like Ane Doki or Rave (Both are awesome Manga series with nice endings), or left to our own imaginations as the characters finally obtain the peace they wanted.

But of course, I'd love to hear your opinion on this Anime series so please do leave a comment. I apologise for my lack of updates recently, but I promise you I will update constantly, though irregularly.

Have a nice day, guys.

DOTADOTADOTADOTA

So, if you've read my previous posts, you would know that I do play League of Legends. Which kind of came from Dota.

Well, Dota2 is coming out this October but the public beta is already open on Steam. Unfortunately, you need a beta key which you get by doing a survey and then pray to god(or whomever you worship) that your name comes up from a ballot.

Sidenote [Can you imagine if some girl actually gets a beta key for her boyfriend?]

Girl: Hey honey, guess what I got for you? The Dota2 public beta key!!!

Guy: OMGWTFBBQHOWDIDYOUGEDDIT?

Girl: Oh, just lucky. And having 500 connections with nerds-who-want-to-touch-my-ass-but-will-never-get-a-chance-to. Enjoy!!! Oh and I was thinking maybe we can go out this Sunday to.......

Guy: OMG THIS IS GREAT, NOW I'M GOING TO LOCK MYSELF IN MY ROOM AND NEVER COME OUT!!!! FOR 2 WHOLE WEEKS!!!!!! (because that's how long the beta key lasts, apparently)

Girl: Erm, what?

Guy: What? I'm enjoying your present to me.

Girl: But..... but...... but.......

Guy: Thanks, babe. I'm going to play this as soon as I get home. Oh, and I might be so distracted from it that I might forget to check my phone or reply your messages. Sorry babe, hope you understand.

Girl: But..... but.......

Guy: Bye, love you!!!

Girl: But......

My imagination distracts me so much.

But you're prolly wondering what I'm doing blogging if I have that beta key. (Or maybe not. Shut up)

I don't have the beta key. But my local LAN shop has it.

So about 60-70 of their coms has Dota2. And works pretty fine.

I don't know why I'm bragging.

A couple of friends told me that piece of news, so I flew down to give it a try.

So here officially starts the nerd talk of Dota2.

Reasons why DOTA2 is awesome.

Firstly,  lets get the fact that Icefrog, creator and updater of the current Dota map files, helped in making this out of the way.

Secondly, the game lobby is very similar to the NA League's. Its slightly messy, in my opinion, but its enough for the first timer to understand how to play.

Oh, when you first log in, the game attempts to get a clue on how good you are. If you pick beginner, the game attempts to teach you basics of the game. If you pick familiar, you get to skip the tutorial but you are unable to join draft games. If you pick experienced, you get to skip and join draft games.

Thirdly, gameplay mechanics are still very similar to Dota. Although the animation is different, I find that every hero is still kept the same. I can see that Icefrog tried his best to keep things as close to Warcraft Dota as possible.

Fourth, the voice that tells you a building is getting attacked is better. And hotter. But better.

Reasons why I wouldn't buy DOTA2
Their new matchmaking system takes quite abit to start. I queued with 3 friends and started waiting for the match and it took around 10 minutes for a game to form. Previously, when we used Garena, we'd have to wait as short as 5 minutes to 20 minutes for a game. This doesn't sound like a flaw but its something I address, it takes quite awhile to start.

From experience, Steam games can't be tabbed out without risk of the program crashing. This makes the previous flaw more apparent because you're stuck waiting for matchmaking and you end up doing nothing for the 10 minutes you have to wait.

Also, to play with your friends, you have to make a party and then find your friends, who you probably can't see until you add them, and invite them to your party. Once this is done, you have to select where you want to play (they will match you to games in US, EU, SEA, etc.) which is quite complicated to anyone who wants to try out/new to Dota.

Overall, Dota2 was very well made and I do expect it to please the gaming community. The tutorial (I gave it a shot before leaving the LAN) was decently made and easy to understand. It is definitely a better experience than when I first started playing the Warcraft Dota.

Certain things like last hitting, denying and warding became easier when I did them on Dota2, but others such as adding skill points, buying items, taking items while you're dead became harder. Certain functions such as the stash got me confused (My friend played SF and couldn't find his desolater because it was in his stash, which no one could find. It took a 5 minute check on the controls before he found it) and the core items needs some changing (I heard you can change your core build but I haven't tried it out yet. Shall do it when I am too bored being dead.)

So far I've only played Shadow Priest. Today I hope to try out my other 2 mains, Spectre and Lifestealer.

Of course, I would still love to hear your opinion on Dota2, which is coming out this October and the public beta being out, so please do leave a comment below. Cheers

KONY 2012

Hey, sup all.

I know I'm pretty unknown as it is, but this campaign just needs that little attention.

I'm only going to take up 30 minutes. Just to tell you what happened in the span of 20 years.

Are you ready?

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc

Watch it. Because no amount of words I can muster and string together can fully explain this campaign. Or even summarise the video.

This entire campaign thrives on and needs only one thing. Your attention.

The very fact that you've spent 30 minutes of you precious time watching this fulfils its purpose. To inform as many people as it can.

Now, picture this. You're walking past a man getting mugged, a woman getting raped or even a child getting abducted from his or her parents. You have the capability to stop the culprit, either by calling the police or going over to stop them.

Will you take action?

Hopefully, your answer is yes.

So here's your mission.

Spread this video. Inform as many people as you can. Family, friends, facebook, communities, etc.

Just inform.

Make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to inform the world of his crimes and actions.

Put the video on your Facebook. Share it with your followers on twitter. Spread it like wildfire.

If you can spread spam mails about curses and murderers, I'm sure you can spread something like this as well.

I made this blog to inform. So that's what I will do.

Comments are definitely welcome.

Cheers. And thank you for taking your time to read this post til the end.

Good night.
